The Avoided Deforestation Map shows the amount of carbon emitted by baseline deforestation from 2000 until 2100. This amount was calculated using a forest biomass map described in Silva Fennica 42(3): 387–396 and estimating the deforestation pressure. The deforestation pressure was driven by competing landuse from agriculture.
